This is an antique set of Japanese koto pics with lidded box from the late Meiji era (c. 1900).  They are made of bone and leather and the box is lacquered in black interior and red exterior with a hand painted image of Mt. Fuji.   They are of what I would consider a small size and could be modified to fit ones fingers.  Still quite functional.

Each pick is approximately 1" long and the box is 2" by 1 1/4" (5 x 3.5 cm) .  The pick material is of a material impossible find today and they are in very good condition.  The antique lidded box has some cracks on the lacquer as seen in my pictures.  Otherwise in good condition.
