Purchased in the Loire valley of France - Fabulous set of 11 unused damask napkins.
Wonderful heavy rustic hemp fabric, super heavy floppy hand. Beautiful raised woven texture.  I adore the contrast of the lighter monogram! Hand embroidered PT. Lovely hand sewn hems. Beautiful warm natural linen / oatmeal color. ( first two photos are fairly accurate representation of color on my monitor) dating early 1900's perhaps late 19th. Really so very lovely!
Wonderful to use as napkins, placemats or kitchen towels. Would make beautiful pillow shams as well!

Fabulous condition - great!  They had some storage staining but they have washed beautifully holding the color very nicely even with use of oxygen.

Approximate measurements:  28.5" x 25.6" each. Set weight 3.6lbs
I do my best to accurately describe condition and point out major flaws, but condition is seldom perfect as one would expect from a 100 year old textile. Small marks and flaws should be expected. The timeworn look and signs of their unique history is part of what makes them so charming and special!
