Medium Hexagonal Floating Duck House
With Lift Off Roof
An hexagonal duck box measuring
approximately 900 mm in diameter and 650mm tall.
The roof lifts off for easy cleaning , egg collecting and general maintenance.
This is the only one of its type on the market and is far superior in design to others.
The inside is split into 3 compartments, each with its own access pophole.
Timber sides and roof of ex.16mm x 125mm t & g board.
All timber is externally treated with an animal safe spirit based treatment.
Other similar products on the market use tanalised timber .
The problem with this is that the colour will fade after about 6 months
and leave the product looking "dirty grey " in colour
This will therefore need treating anyway to maintain its aesthetic appearance.
The treatment we use completely seals the timber and will last 3 - 4 years before requiring a further coat.
The duck house sits on an hexagonal floating platform
approximately 1.3m in diameter.
Constructed from tanalised timber incorporating a rigid 75mm closed cell
polystyrene float to enable the whole unit to sit on
a pond or lake away from predators.
UPGRADE TO A LARGE FLOAT MEASURING 1.5m IN DIAMETER
The float also comes with 3 landing platforms / steps
