INTERESTING GROUP OF THREE VINTAGE JAVA PHOTOGRAPHS -

KURKDJIAN (Ohannes, photographer based in the Dutch East Indies, 1851-1903).

Java, Indonesia - a group of three vintage photographs, including one by Kurkdjian of a waterfall, as well as a statue of Buddha at Mendut and the Pawon temple. 

Three vintage gelatin silver photographs. Undated but circa 1900 to 1910. One by Kurkdjian with his wet stamp on verso. The Buddha photo attributed to Kassian Céphas. The temple image tipped onto card, the other two unmounted. Size: (photographs) - approx. 24cm x 17.2cm, 23cm x 17cm and 22.5cm x 17cm.

Good condition. Light edgewear. The Kurkdjian photo with creasing to top left corner, and less so to lower corners. Some mounting residue on rear of photographs. A few minor spots to mount.
