The outer layer is made from a salvaged woollen blanket. All blankets are washed thoroughly and hung out in the sun for several days for natural sterilizing and airing. The lining is made from 100% premium quality linen. The hand-cut strap & closure (securely glued & hand stitched with waxed thread) are made using vegetable-tanned kangaroo leather offcuts purchased from a tannery that specializes in making kangaroo leather lacing. And to finish it off, the satchel is adorned with a kangaroo leather hot stamped 'by marie-nicole' label riveted into place.
