William McK. Spierer (1913 - 1965)
Known as a designer, teacher, painter, lecturer, and illustrator. Spierer studied at Syracuse Univ. (B.F.A.); Du Mond; Boss; Bridgman, and he taught at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Spierer was a prolific and extremely talented artist who loved painting scenes in the Cape Cod area as well as Paris and Italy. Many of his paintings are of small-town life, done in watercolor.
