ANTIQUE c1850 MINIATURE SNUFF SHOE PILL BOOT EBONY WOOD some pique work unusual
An unusual little miniature snuff shoe / boot, or, so diddy it may have also been for pills, not sure as to which exactly. But certainly a fine novelty piece, produced circa 1850, perhaps earlier, of a boot or shoe. It has a little pique work for the lace holes on one side with, unusually, a brass heel and sole and top opening area as per the photos. Overall in very good condition ( came from a private collection of a lady ). It measures approx 2 1/2 inches long x 1 1/4 high x 5/8 wide. The wood is very dark perhaps ebony or similar related exotic wood for the period. ........all as per the images.
