For your consideration, we offer an antique Japanese Meiji bench with the most expressive, voluptuous, dynamic, furious and fabulous carved dragons i have seen (please compare these carved dragons with others Japanese carved dragon benches or chairs). Even if you look at the complete bench and compare it with others of the same style, you will see that this bench is the one with the most harmonious curves and is the most aesthetic and stylized. The rest of the japanese benches of this style look square and rough compared to this fantastic and exquisite piece.This exceptional loveseat has been made during second half of XIX century and has the most impressive and magnificent Japanese dragon carvings armrest i have seen. Really unbeatable. The only one with long and wavy moustaches (see pictures). So this sculptural bench is not another Meiji carved dragon bench, but the best Meiji carved dragon bench i have seen, with white eyes made in organic material. If you try to find a better japanese carved dragon armrest you will conclude is simply impossible. That is why i consider that this furniture has probably the best japanese dragon armrests ever made. Even the intricate and sculptural backrest with a dragon shape is sublime and fantastic. This extraordinary furniture has been perfectly restored but it preserves its original dark wood tone, with a solid structure and ready to be used. A really exceptional, sophisticated and imposing Meiji carved bench for demanding collectors. The effort and care put into the expression, details and dynamism is truly amazing and unique (see detailed photos).
