Good Condition; Leather bound with gold embossing. Clean pages, no rips or tears, firm binding.  Front and back inside covers and first/last pages  are covered in a satin material.  There is a crack on the front inside page edge which does not impact the pages and spine remains firm and all pages intact.  (see photos)  Inscription reads "Recovered from the ruins of  St. Lo in France when Ralph's army unit captured St. Lo."  The next page has an inscription from the presumed owner in 1911...
