This is a good item for easy analog play without any modification to the vehicle. In addition to the environmental sounds of driving, various operation sounds can also be enjoyed.
The latest software is used. The "VVVF-equipped train" and "Diesel train" operations, which have been updated along with the enhancement of existing sound cards, as well as the "emergency stop function" and "controller priority mode switching function" are included as standard features.
Scales and notations have been added to each volume for easier adjustment.
The sound box only controls "sound" and utilizes your power pack for vehicle operation. There is no need to buy an extra power pack.
Speakers are mounted on the sound box itself. No modifications to the vehicle are required. You can immediately enjoy the sound in your vehicle.
By inserting an optional sound card, you can enjoy driving various types of vehicles.
The feature of the sound box is that the running sound is automatically played in sync with the running condition of the vehicle.
The six push buttons can be used to play the whistle, brake sound, and other desired operation sounds. The operation sound differs depending on the car model.
Includes adjustable volume controls for sound volume, microphone volume, start-up voltage, and sound synchronization. Adjustment according to the characteristics of the vehicle allows for a more realistic experience.
When using the sound box, it can be easily connected to the vehicle's running power pack via a jump cord. Power supply for sound box operation is easily connected to the snap type terminal on the side of the KATO power pack.
Power packs from other manufacturers can also be used. (In addition to modification of the jump cord connection, a KATO power pack or a separate external power supply is required to operate the main unit.
When using with ECS-1, "Controller priority mode" is recommended.
The "sound" input/output terminals are provided as standard, allowing you to connect external speakers via an amplifier, or connect a microphone or smartphone to mix in station and conductor announcements and other sound sources, doubling the fun of running your model train.
Included is the "Sound Box Play Guide," which provides simulations using four types of sound cards (train, diesel, steam locomotive, and electric locomotive), allowing you to enjoy driving while reproducing the sounds of real trains.
