The 2016 White House Christmas ornament honors the administration of the thirty-first president of the Untied States Herbert Hoover, who served from 1929 to 1933.  The ornament is inspired by the fire engines that responded to the 1929 Christmas Eve fire at the White House and the toy trucks presented to the children by the Hoovers the following Christmas. Crafted from shiny brass plated with nickel and 24kgold, the engine carries a decorated Christmas tree for delivery to the White House.

The White House Historical Association along with selling this annual Christmas ornament also sold a limited number of larger version or model of the ornament.  This model measures about 12" in length and 6" in height.  Picture of the Christmas ornament with the model is only for a comparison in size, the ornament is not included.

New in original box, never been displayed.
