Lovely vintage party dress from the late 50s or early 60s by Edward Abbott. The color is a red with a slight pink tinge - magenta. Gorgeous square neckline and deep back. Shelf bust with horizontal folds and bow. There are also folds in the upper back. A smooth skirt section in the front and soft pleats in the back. The bodice area, front and back has a thin lining, along with the front skirt section. The sleeves are not lined. The fabric feels like a fine, thinner taffeta with a high sheen. Tulle interior in the back section of the skirt area along with a thicker acetate type lining to give fullness.
