This Gourd Rattle is made from the chola cactus with a pine dowel beaded handle, antique/vintage 40s thread spool plug with a real horse hair beaded topper. Blue, Yellow, Samon and Reflective Black glass seed beads.

The beadwork represents the sky garden raining down to earth, replenishing the crops in this world. The snakes are a representation of the rain and their conscious strength to create healing, growth and protection.

The rattle opens so you add your own medicines and stones. To disassemble, hold and twist the topper and gently pull till removed. Next, gently pull gourd until separated from handle. Remember to plug small hole with finger to prevent spillage.
