This vintage sculpture set features three busts by Cantey Gannaway Kelleher, depicting children in intricate detail. Each piece is signed and made by hand using terracotta material and 3D modeling techniques. The sculptures are of medium size and come in the form of busts, portraying the theme of portraiture. The artist's unique style is captured in these original pieces, making them a must-have for any art collector.  This set belongs to the category of art sculptures and art, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any home or office.

Cantey is known for her garden sculptures as well as busts of children, capturing the unblemished innocence of childhood.  This collection also features a plaque with a newspaper article regarding a showing of Cantey's sculpture that was held in1998 at the Watkins Art Gallery in Charlotte.  The three busts feature two boys and a girl.  These sculptures were made in clay, are signed and have been fired and are now terracotta.  They are very heavy!  Beautifully detailed these pieces of art are sure to appeal to any collector.

The plaque is 19 1/4" long x 12 1/4" wide x 3/4" deep. It frames a Charlotte Observer article on Cantey Gannaway and is dated July 21, 1998.  We noted that the back of the frame does have some damage, not visible if it is hanging.

The girl's bust is 12" high including the base (the base is 3" high).  It is 6 1/2" wide at its widest spot and is 5 1/2" deep.  Note that the base is missing a 1/2" platform and nut to secure the bust to the marble base.  The girls bust is in very good condition.  This bust is unsigned but was sold as part of her collection.

There are two boy busts.  The lighter colored bust is 14 1/2" high on the base (base is 3" high).  He is 6" wide at its widest spot and 6 1/4" in depth.  This bust is signed on his collar.  We did notice that he has a crack on his left ear.  Note that the marble base is missing a 1/2" platform and the nut to secure the bust to the base.

Lastly the second boy is 14" in height on the base (the base is 2 7/8" high).  He is 5 3/4" wide at the widest point and is 6 1/2" deep.
He is in very good condition and is also signed on his collar.  He is also on a marble base, which does not have the nut to secure the bust.

This is a great collection of sculptures by an American artist!
