This is a really attractive set of vintage porcelain storage cannisters are incredibly stylish. 

As well as a pretty art deco band at the top of each jar they each have black lettering:

Mel (Flour) 

Sukker (Sugar) 

Riis (Rice) 

Kaffe (coffee). 

These words are not modern Dutch words but from an ancient colloquial dialect from the Maastricht area of the Netherlands, which makes these pots all the more charming and rare. 

They are also much larger than the usual french sets I see here in France, making them more practical for storage and more striking on your shelf.

In VERY GOOD vintage condition for their age. There are a few signs of age . One of the lids has an unusual gritty texture and another has some hairline cracks and underneath it has been repaired. All the lids have minor chips to the underside to one degree or another. The pots themselves are undamaged but do have age spots within the glaze and the odd tiny nibble to the bases.
