This product data sheet is originally written in English.

During the Vietnam War, the US Air Force used a variety of aircraft to conduct military operations, including the F-4B Phantom II and the DC-10.

The F-4B Phantom II was a twin-engine, two-seat fighter-bomber that was used extensively by the US military during the Vietnam War. The aircraft was known for its speed, maneuverability, and firepower and was used for a wide range of missions, including ground attack, air superiority, and reconnaissance.

Da Nang Air Base was a major US military installation during the Vietnam War, and it was home to a large number of aircraft, including the F-4B Phantom II. The aircraft were used to conduct a wide range of missions, including ground support, interdiction, and air-to-air combat.

The DC-10, on the other hand, was primarily used as a commercial airliner. However, during the Vietnam War, the US military used modified DC-10 aircraft as part of Operation Babylift, a mission to evacuate orphaned children from South Vietnam to the United States.

In April 1975, a DC-10 aircraft was used to evacuate more than 270 children from Saigon, just days before the fall of the city to North Vietnamese forces. The operation was successful, but tragically, the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Tan Son Nhat Airport, killing 138 passengers and crew members.
