Beautifully hand carved sculpture of sleeping man with large "Sombrero." The sculpture was carved in two separate chunks of Mahogany, one for the hat and another for the full-detailed body. The base is a lighter-colored wood. The carving has a lot of splendid detail and was done with high sensitivity and skill by an unknown traditional artist.

Place of Origin: Cancun, Mexico

Period: 1990s (Purchased by a family member in 1996).
