The item is in good condition although there is visible wear to the bronze patina and minor chips to the marble base due to age, handling, and usage.

Antique bronze ornamental inkstand in the Egyptian taste. 

Cast in bronze and patinated dark olive colour. 

A ruler flanked by two ornamental containers with ornamental covers. 

On a base of black and polished marble. 

French made circa 2nd half of 19th century.
