Garfield High School - Seattle, WA 1947 Commencement Program + 6 bonus items!
The commencement program is 100% complete but does have a lot of creases.
THE BONUS ITEMS INCLUDE:
2, different, student newspapers (?) called Contemporary Hi-lights. One is dated May 16th, 1947 and the other is dated May 27th, 1947.
The other two single pages are Senior class 1947 picnic news information and a page for "Suggestions for Senior Commencement"
Also included is the original purple/white ribbon that wrapped around the graduation diploma and the purple/white graduation tassel!
All together this is an absolute TIME CAPSULE of the 1947 graduation year at Garfield!
Famous Garfield alums include Jimi Hendrix, Quincy Jones, Macklemore, and Brandon Roy although none of the graduated in 1947!
