Rare MUSIC STAR Magazine from 1973 with Donny Osmond on the cover.

Music Star magazine launched in January 1973 and looked much more like a US teen magazine of the day than its standard British rivals, right down to its seemingly never ending cover rotation of Donny Osmond and David Cassidy. As its run progressed it embraced the homegrown stars more such as Marc Bolan, David Bowie, Gary Glitter, Slade, Sweet and many more.

Sadly, in a crowded marketplace for pop magazines, Music Star soared but then faltered and, after mergers with rival magazines, it eventually folded in 1975.

Complete issues of Music Star are now sought after by collectors.
