Handknitted/Crocheted cream chunky woolen long aran cardigan size L/14 – 16–18

Lovely quality women’s aran  featuring intricate hand crocheted aranwork.  Please note this is the first hand crocheted Aran cardigan I have seen and it is a lovely quality cardigan that will look especially good over dresses, long skirts and denim.

Featuring no maker’s label, most likely handknitted, possibly vintage.  You can’t get any more ethical then a handknitted garment made by a hobbyist. 

Classic cream colour.

No fabric label enclosed, I estimate this jumper to be knitted from A wool and acrylic blend yarn, it is very soft and chunky but also a little lighter then pure wool. It should take a very gentle machine wash.  As it has been knitted in a waffle stitch, it is quite airy and stretchy.

No size labelling, please refer to measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying, for a true indication of size. I estimate this cardigan to fit a UK size: L/14 – 16–18. I’m a 14 and it has a slouchy fit, my mum is about a 16 to 18 and it fits perfectly with room underneath for a jumper.

Design details include V-neck line, with six leather effect buttons at the front placket. The back continues the same pattern as the front. The edgings are in crochet stitch patterns.

Measurements are as follows: length of the garment, from the nape of the neck to the bottom hem: 32 inches. Armpit to pit measurement: about 22 inches. Sleeve width at the armpit.: about 10 inches. Sleeve length,, from the armpit to the cuff: about 19 inches.
