How to test a Canon FD lens? Canon FD lens is different from other lenses. You have to mount it on the camera to test its aperture blades. You may set the aperture at 16, fire a slow shot like B (bulb), watch from front, you now can see the aperture move. Or, fire a B shot and hold it, turn the aperture ring, you will see the aperture close and re-open as you wish.
