A stunning set of 4 finely crafted dining chairs of excellent quality, attributed to  designer Henning Kjaernulf and made in Denmark.

This handsome series of chairs was made in the late 1960s to 70s.

They are designed with the brutalist features of superb angular, geometrically carved legs, as well as beautiful detailing from the gentle flair of the back foot to the back support forms. They are made from light oak with a waxed finish  and feature a wonderful wood grain.

Kjaernulf is renowned for what is known as Danish brutalism, combining a modernist approach with comfort, and Danish heritage into his designs. The chairs have a very personal aesthetic, combining also, a strong arts and crafts, 1940s sensibility.

The chairs gave been recently reupholstered in a stylish traditional Olmerdug Danish a dry wool stripe, with a predominant olive green and natural white. Chairs are super comfortable and surprisingly light to move, yet very sturdy.
