Here is the Holy Grail of hockey sticks hockey sticks dated 1905, 1906 from The Portage Lake Hockey Club Professional Champions of the WORLD. They defeated the Montreal Wanderers, a team that was merited with high caliber status, This is one of the very first known professional used hockey sticks ever known in existence.
Amphidrome it is regarded as the birthplace of professional hockey and is the seventh oldest indoor ice rink in the world. Hockey Rink was located in Houghton Michigan it has since burned down.

This stick is 42 1/4 inches from the heel to the top. It is one and 360s inch at the top widening to 2 1/4 inch at the heel. It is 7/16 inch thick at the top tapering to a half inch at the heel. The blade is 11 1/2 inches from the heel to the tip, the blade is 2 3/16 inches wide. There is a 2 inch pin in the blade from the top down 7 inches back from the blade tip. There are six wraps of black tape around 4 inches and two wraps, a black tape around the heel the blade is of the stick is broken in half at the 5 inch’s back and slivered the rest of the way to the heel. There is writing carved onto the stick.
There are 55 slash marks on the inside edge of the stick one for every goal the was scored. All the “J” letters on the stick are carved backwards.
This hockey stick has actually been examined Olympic Medal winner Weldon “Weldy” Olson a member of the US Hall of Fame in Eveleth Minnesota. They considered this, the HOLY Grail of hockey sticks they asked Mr. Carl Lassila if he would donate it, but he refused to do so I would I would consider this one of the oldest hockey sticks known to existence, professionally use, hockey sticks, known to existence. Carl Lassila is the son of Wilfred Lassala, who received the stick from the Honold residence of Calumet Michigan.
