I bought this bike 30 years ago.  This bike is a ground-breaking frame when Trek first used carbon on a MTB frame.  This is how the custom titanium/carbon gravel and road bikes are built today to keep weight low, carbon stiffness/performance, with strength.  

The frame is on ebay for $250-$300 & you will spend another $700 on parts to build up a similar frame as a gravel or MTB. 

The bike was stored inside at my parent's house for 25 years and I converted it to a gravel bike this year.  I rode the bike once it preformed well, but I had new cables+ tune-up at bike shop last week now bike shifts perfectly on 2 of the 3 rings.  The road bike shifters are new.  The tires almost new.  Including road bike slicks and mountain bike tires with the 1.5 gravel tires.  

I was on a 3 year waiting list for a new custom titanium gravel bike and my number was called this month so I am selling a few bikes to pay for the new bike.
