Austrian Silver Gilt Orange Enamel Engraved Boxer Bulldog Dog Box 129 grams

This is fine Austrian gilt silver and orange/rust enamel box. The silver lid is decorated a doggie, either Bulldog or a Boxer. Incredible handpainted detail! There is so much detail in this box, such as elaborate grey/blue and white enamel border, also hand tooling. The more you look the more at awe you are! The entire interior is gilded. The piece has Austrian hallmarks, there is a Hoopoe bird, .900 for silver, W for Vienna. There are few more interesting hallmarks and a serial number. Condition is great except there is enamel loss on a hinge and one side (shown, see pictures). However, these are not very important surfaces, as the front and the back would be. Circa 1920s or 30s. Dimensions Width: 3", Height: 2.25". The weight is 129 grams, nice and heavy.
