Details: This auction is for the rare antique Art Deco Royal Winton Grimwades 6 piece tea set, made in England in 1930s. The stunning tea set features six pieces: tray, teapot, creamer, open sugar bow, cup and toast rack. The set is adorned with colorful chintz Royalty pattern.

 

The Royal Winton Grimwades firm was established by Leonard Lumsden Grimwade in Hanley at Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in 1885. The Royal Winton was highly regarded for its beautiful ceramics.

 

The set has the identifying mark of the Royal Winton Grimwades England of the 1934-1950 period and the pattern name ROYALTY.  

 

The 6 piece tea set is as seen in the photos.

 

Measurements: The tray measures 10.25" across the handles, teapot measures approx. 4" tall at the top of the finial, the cup is 2.4" tall and 3.2"  across the top, creamer measures approx. 2.4" tall, sugar bowl is 1.2" tall. The toast rack is 2" tall, 2.75"  long and 2.3" tall wide.

 

Condition: The antique 6 piece tea set is in very good condition with minimal signs of age. There is some glaze crazing, =is typical for the antique Royal Winton pieces.
