#Regarded as the true 1st Silver-age appearance of Captain America(4 months before Avengers #4),although the character turned out to be 'The Acrobat' in disguise!
3rd appearance of Doctor Strange and his series begins. No mention again of that fact on the cover! Instead Marvel do something very interesting to test and gauge fan reaction - they show the villain The Acrobat disguised as the "From Out of The Golden Age of Comics into the Marvel Age Captain America". Captain America Comics published by Atlas finished with #78 dated Sep 1954. Cap's heyday was very much the war years 1941-1945, the core of the Golden Age. Fan reaction was SO positive that the good captain made his debut in Avengers #4 only four months later in Mar 1964.
