This is a beautiful, hand carved Native American Zuni Fetish carving of a rabbit with turquoise stone eyes by artist Lance Cheama. The stone is a very dark green, possibly jade. This piece is small and delicate, it measures approximately 1 1/4" long, 3/4" high and 3/4" wide. It signed on the belly "Lance C". The piece is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos, without any chips, cracks, damages or repairs.

About the Artist: Lance Cheama is perhaps one of the best known contemporary (2014) Zuni
fetish carvers. He credits his brother Dan Quam, as teacher. He has
taught his wife, Karen Cheama the craft as well. He is related to
artists Arvella Cheama (sister), and brothers Fabian Cheama, Wilford
Cheama, and Dan Quam.
