This vintage collector plate made by Johnson Brothers of England features a beautiful pink transfer scene on a glossy white ceramic background.  The design depicts various features of interest in Vancouver, Canada - including:

The Lions Gate Bridge
Stanley Park
The Lions Mountains
Vancouver City
The North Shore Mountains
The First Nations Indigenous People
Royal Mounted Police
Vancouver Island Beaver

This was crafted for The Hudson's Bay Co. sometime in the  early 1950s based on the automobiles depicted on the Stanley Park roadway. Hudson's Bay is the oldest merchandising company in the English-speaking world with origins in the beaver pelt trade and their famous point blankets.

It measures 10 inches in diameter with 1" high sides.  It weighs 1 lb 2 oz.  Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or crazing and only a few light utensil marks.

The backstamp in pink reads "Souvenir of Vancouver Canada, Made Expressly for the Hudson's Bay Company, Incorporated 2nd May 1670, by Johnson Bros of England, All Decoration Under the Glaze Permanent & Acid Resisting Colors, A Genuine Hand Engraving".
