Building (The Wilberforce Institute for the study of Slavery and Emancipation) and the Wilberforce Museum can be obtained by following the path beyond this brick wall. These are the Nelson Mandela Gardens, created by the City Council in 1983 and containing this four foot high bust of Mahatma Gandhi that was unveiled by Lord Putnam in 2004. The four feet high bust of Gandhi was sculpted by the Mumbai sculptor Jaiprakash Shirgaoankar and was donated by Hull's Indian community.
