Photograph Notes: The tail end of the cyclists in the Godiva Cyclopedia cavalcade crossing junction 9 of the inner ring road, seen from the Bishop Street footbridge. The cavalcade was one of the cycling events held on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the ring road to celebrate the return of the animated Lady Godiva to the city after a year away. As can be seen here, traffic continued as normal on the clockwise carriageway without gridlock ensuing.
