This beautiful 8.25" (54 grams) serving spoon is made of high-quality coin silver and features the unique Olive pattern from Wood & Hughes. The spoon dates to 1848 (as engraved) matching the years Wood & Hugh’s were producing coin silver in their New York firm usually g this stamp (1845-1899). “The New York firm of Wood and Hughes, one of the finest and largest manufacturers of American silver, created numerous flatware patterns during the second half of the nineteenth century” (from The Met collection of Wood & Hughs pieces).


This particular piece was part of an Alabama estate and is monogrammed “L. P. Parker” on one side and engraved “1848” on the opposite, adding to its rich history. This Wood & Hughes Olive Pattern Coin Silver spoon is truly a one-of-a-kind piece.
