The Story Reader and the additional 6 book/cartridge sets are all brand new. I did open the story reader and installed batteries only to make sure it worked. It works perfectly!! Batteries are NOT included though. I did not connect it to the television though but the cords are included. Since it’s from 2006, I cannot guarantee it will work with your television; technology has changed a lot in the last 18 years. It does work as a stand alone story reader, so I will not accept returns if it does not work with your television.
