A secret society built from within Cobra to protect and serve Cobra Commander even if it means certain death. As if giving up your whole life and individual appearance out of loyalty wasn't enough, the Crimson Guard are willing to give their lives to protect the ideals of Cobra and its Commander. A high IQ and an even higher tolerance for pain are just the bare necessities for entry into the guard. Guard recruits are subjected to extensive testing, including both physical and psychological, to assure that they can perform in high stress situations and that their loyalty to the Commander is absolute. If you survive the training, you're given the chance to prove yourself in the field and maybe one day earn the honor of serving in the Commanders personal Guard.... The Immortals.

Considered the best of the best. It takes many years to achieve the status of Crimson Guard Elite. A Crimson Guardsmen is expected to uphold unfaltering loyalty to Cobra Commander. Existing as more of a faction within Cobra than as a part of it. The Crimson Guard answer only to Cobra Commander and his liaisons, Tomax and Zamot, who are given the responsibility of assisting in training and placing Guard members into undercover positions. Undergoing extensive plastic surgery and following a daily regimen of precautions to even alter their fingerprints, it is near impossible to trace a Siege (CG “Crimson Guard”) back to their original past. Guardsmen are then split up into groups, (or series) one of the most notable are the Fred series, which has produced some of the most prolific of Crimson Guardsman ( See: Fred VII ). Each member of a series shares the same likeness in face and build, able to assume the identity of any other member in the same series, allowing them to be in more than one place at the same time and giving each of them a impeccable alibi.

Most Crimson Guards of this rank lie dormant in deep undercover operations waiting for the day that they receive the call for their activation. An intricate system of Crimson Guards watching other Guardsman has kept the Commander always aware of their activities and in the know of who he can and cannot trust.

Loyalty will only get you so far in Cobra, a Guardsman is also expected to be a college graduate with degrees in Law, Political science or have earned an MBA. Many go on into Cobra’s scientific development division where they are planted into labs around the world to steal information on new discoveries and use grants from various nations to secretly continue work for Cobra. A Crimson Guard can infiltrate any location, hack into any system, override any security and escape without leaving a trace. They can be anyone they choose, the guy next store, or maybe even the next presidential candidate!
