Hara Zaichu(1750-1837)was a painter of the late Edo period. He is from Kyoto. He loved painting from an early age and is said to have studied under  Maruyama Okyo(1733-1795). He taught himself Ming-ga(Chinese Ming Painting), studied various schools such as the Tosa school, and created the original school of elaborate decorative style. He passed away in 1837, at the age of 88.

Some marks, crease, insect damage, and aged damage are present on the painting itself. Some marks, crease, and light damage due to its great age are present.It is accompanied by a paulownia wood storage box, which is inscribed as authenticating the painting.
