This remote LS-style idle air control block is designed to provide the ability to control idle with your OEM or aftermarket standalone computer. Tired of poor cold starts or high hot idle conditions? Idle air control is the answer. It is not hard to make a race engine idle as controllably as a stock engine, but it needs an idle air controller. This is a great solution.
This idle air control block fits any GM stepper (LS-style) idle air control motor - NOT INCLUDED (see our other items for sale if you need a stepper motor and harness). The GM part number for the stepper needed is 2171806, however this is the same part found on most 3rd gen LS engines commonly found in the Camaro, Corvette, and Silverado. There are many aftermarket brands available.
This IAC block is machined to use -6AN ORB fittings which are not included. Many styles of ORB fittings are available from your aftermarket performance parts centers (Summit, Jegs, etc)
Please do your research to ensure that the ECU for your application can control stepper style idle air motors (not PWM style).
