Vintage Seminole Native American Woman Doll w/Original Tags
Skillfully crafted and colorful handmade Seminole Native American doll with original tag. The core of the doll is tube-shaped and assembled from firmly packed palmetto fibers wrapped in brown fabric. Two layer dress features striped colors of gold, teal blue, orange, yellow, green, and beige with a black bonnet on top (colors are faded on dress). A 3-layer turquois blue beaded necklace is affixed around the neck.
Original tag reads: "This is an authentic FLORIDA SEMINOLE DOLL. Made in the Everglades by Seminole Indians. The body is made of Polmetto Fibre. The costume is a reproduction of the traditional Seminole Woman's Dress. Distributed by Tropic-Art, Novelty Mfrs, Miami, Fla."
