Publication Date: 1882

Condition: Good

ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume by Thomas Wentworth Higginson!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique volume is over 142 years old!

Ex-library.

rare volume to find in any condition!  Originally published in 1881.  In good condition overall!

Original publisher cloth binding shows wear for age, including a library sticker pasted to the front board, a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, some general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges.  Volume is also quite cocked.  Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume!  The gilt title lettering on the spine displays nicely from the shelf.

Internally, this volume is in good shape overall.  Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding, though there is moderate wear to the inner hinge, and the volume feels a bit loose overall.  Note that this is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions.

The text block of this volume is clean throughout.  There is typical age-related toning to the pages, and some light soiling scattered foxing and soiling throughout, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Perfectly readable throughout!

Make sure to see the additional photographs in the description below for a thorough look through this antique tome.

403 pages.

Measures approximately 7 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches thick.

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!
