This collection of etchings was published by this Amsterdam Art Society in support of the flooding disaster of 1855 in the Netherlands. We also carry the complete set. Please inquire if interested.
Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Wm. Gruyter' after 'Mari ten Kate'. Willem Gruyter jr. (1817-1880) was a Dutch painter and etcher river and marine views from Amsterdam. He was a pupil of H. Koekkoek. He taught his son J.W. Gruijter. Johan Mari Henri (Mari) ten Kate (1831-1910) was a Dutch painter of interiors with figures / children and hunting scenes from The Hague. He was a pupil of his brother H.F.C. ten Kate. He travelled widely.

Condition: Good. Some small stains in print and in margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
