Like turnips, kale and Brussels sprouts, rapeseed is a plant belonging to the cabbage family. That is why the honey made from it can be recognized by its white or buttery yellow color, cabbage-like smell and slightly peppery taste. It has a high content of grape sugar (glucose). It also contains fruit sugar (fructose) and maltose.
Ingredients:
It consists of the nectar of the rapeseed plant. it has a high dextrose content, so it crystallizes faster.
Usage:
Universal use due to its moderate sweetness and unique flavor profile. You can put it in hot drinks, or use it for baking and cooking, but above all, we also recommend and use it as a base for homemade cream honeys.
Important: the honey should only be put into a drink at a maximum consumption temperature of 45°C in order to preserve its quality! Crystallization of honey is a natural process that does not affect its quality. Due to the composition of rapeseed, honey crystallizes the fastest, this does not affect its natural texture and quality! Crystallized honey becomes liquid again under the influence of heat. All real honey crystallizes, which can be explained by the content and ratio of fructose-glucose-sucrose.
