These are very unusual sterling silver Lorgnette glasses that just came out of a fine St. Louis estate. These opera type magnifying glasses were completely handcrafted by a silversmith, probably in the 1920s to 1930s. They have heavy bullseye type lenses that must be proscription. They would make great magnifying glasses for a desk or office because of their strength. They are in very good condition, as you can see in the photos. They measure 6 3/4" tall by 4 1/2" wide. The lenses are 1 3/8" in diameter.
