Beautiful antique lithograph with hand painted watercolor details. Art Nouveau scene with two classical women, one playing a lyre. When these rare hand-tinted pieces surface, the colors are often slightly different - this rare example has beautiful tones & colors!  Dated 1899, this piece of fine art was originally painted by Herbert Horwitz - and lithographed / re-printed by Raphael Tuck & Sons (holders of the Royal Warrant which allows them to print art for the royal family). Top right of the piece reads: "Raphael Tuck & Sons Limited Publishers to H M the Queen and T R H the Prince and Princess of Wales Printed in Vienna".

This large piece measures 17 1/2" x 21 1/2" framed, the litho itself is 12 1/2" x 19 1/2". Textured, antique gold-gilt frame is solid, with minimal wear. The artwork is also in excellent vintage condition, with some age toning, otherwise no issues to report. Original hard board matting has a crack along the top segment, and some areas where the gold gilt has transferred from the frame.Overall well preserved! Taped to the reverse is a photograph and information related to what I assume was the original owner. Nice sky-blue backing, held in solidly with framing brads. Original glass has no chips or visible damage.
