Author: Lothrop Stoddard

Publisher: Charles Scribers Sons, New York

Publication Date: 1923

Condition: Good

ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume on Islam by Lothrop Stoddard!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique volume is over 98 years old!

Ex-library.

Ingoodgreat condition overall!  Original publisher illustrated cloth binding shows some wear, including a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, some rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, some general wear around the extremities including bumping the corners and spine extremes, and some rubbing and soiling to the page edges.  Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume!  The title lettering on the spine displays nicely from the shelf.

Internally, this volume is in good shape overall.  Both boards and all page groupings remain firmly attached to the binding.  This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the title page and copyright page.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions.

The text block of this volume is very clean throughout.  There is just typical age-related toning to the pages and the odd spot of light foxing or soiling, as well as a few pages with creased corners, but otherwise this volume is clean and perfectly readable throughout!

Illustrated with a color map.  Map shows some toning and creasing but remains attached to the binding.

Make sure to see the photos above for more details.

362 pages.

Measures approximately 8 1/4 inches tall by 6 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches thick.
