original sampler not signed or dated, not framed
1. original, based on fabric and design early 1800s
2. back ground in linen
3. stitching done in very fine wool
4. this was hemmed down the side and the hem is coming undone
5. some age discoloration
6. small hole near the middle
7. wonderful row of hearts near the bottom, see photo
8. unusual the way the letters on the bottom 3rd have all the little knots, see photo, I have never seen this before
9. all over light fading but still very nice color
