antique early hand made forged iron chain rare quick release 14 in. original

antique hand made forged unusual quick release chain
1. not sure of age, probably late 1900s
2. there are two hooks but only one releases
3. I was told this is part of a wagon but I am not sure about that
4. I do believe it is intentional that only one hook will release
5. all over very good condition
approximate measurements
1. total length including the bolts 14 in.
2. both bolts 3.5 in long
3. both hooks 4.5 in. long x about 2 in. across the round loop
