The impeller is missing from this otherwise brand new and unused motor, hence the low price. I have used machines without an impeller and have never had a problem with overheating etc. You are still advised to transfer the impeller from your existing machine if you can.

If your Actifry stops and gives an 'ERR' message but is able to start and run again after just a few seconds it is very likely indeed to be because your fan motor is running too slowly to shift the hot air created by the heating element which in turn causes the thermostats to trigger, cutting the power supply to the motor and giving the message shown.
This fan motor is a brand new replacement and carries a 12 month warranty.
