Octavo. 298 pages, indexed. Hardcover rebound in black buckram (NOT an ex-library copy). There is minimal wear to the binding. Prior owner's bookplate on the front pastedown (George Breathett, a professor at Bennett College in Greensboro, NC in the 1950s-1960s).  The text is toned but clean and sound. Text is in French. The title translates to, "African Barbary and the Civil Action of Catholic Missions in the Congo and Equatorial Africa Containing, as Preliminaries, a Chapter on the Anti-Slavery Movement and the Speech of Cardinal Lavigerie in London."
