Update Feb 20:  I'm out of town for a few weeks.  I can ship the bike when I return.

The Specialized StumpJumper is a legendary mountain bike that Specialized has manufactured for over 20 years.  It’s not only one of Specialized best selling bikes, but it has been one of the most popular mountain bikes since it’s inception.  This model is the M4 Special Alloy Manipulation frame. The frame comes in colors like red, blue and white.  This unique frame is silver and I have kept it the last 10 years even though I don’t ride it because I love the color. The M4 models are from 200-20031, this bike weighs around 35 pounds. Full Suspension, 26’ wheels, and Shimano disc brakes.  Size:  Medium

Components

The Stumpjumper M4 comes with Mountain Mix components, including a riser Specialized stem, carbon handlebars, and Shimano Deore RapidFire SL shifters and derailleurs.

I replaced the original The Answer Manitou front shock (I still have it if wanted) and FOX Fox Float RL rear shock with the Bolany Factory 32 front shock (with adjustments and lock capabilities) and EXA FOFM 562 rear shock (also with adjustments and lock-out capability) because the other shocks were not working properly.  The bike has only been ridden twice with the new shocks.  I also put new tires and handlebar grips on the bike.

I will leave the Shimano platform SPD pedals and both bottle cages on the bike to save you from spending $150 for those items. I upgraded the saddle to the Ergon SR Mens Comp saddle (high-end European saddle. Ergon founder is Canyon’s founder’s brother.) One risk of purchasing used MTBs is you may get a good deal on a bike but have to spend hundreds of dollars to rebuild or replace the shock(s).  Many people sell their bikes when they know they have to incur this expense.  Both shocks on this bike have barely been used so the bike should last you many years.  Front:  120mm Rebound Adjust Travel.

Drivetrain

The StumpJumper M4 has a 3 X 9 speeds with a 3X crankset with 42T, 30T, and 20T chainrings to give you an incredible range to climb any steep grade elevation hill or lots of power with the 42T chainring for flat and downhill terrain.  The cassette is Shimano and I think it is a 34-12 with the Shimano Deore XT derailleurs.  Specialized Alex Rims wheelset.  Disc Brakes.

I had the bike serviced and I rode it last weekend as it’s swan song before selling it.  The bike rides and shifts smoothly.  I see no issues with the brakes or other aspects of the bike.  I rode the bike on weekends for the first two years I owned the bike, then moved to Florida and started doing triathlons and the bike was in storage 10 years.  I fixed up the bike for an ex-girlfriend hoping she would get into the sport a few years ago, but the bike has basically not been ridden for the last 13 years and both shocks and tires are almost brand-new so aside from the normal cosmetic scratches on the frame, the bike is in excellent condition.

I will include the pedals (save you $75 and they work with SPD cleats and regular shoes) and the Garmin computer holder on bar stem.
