Subject: Rare set of 4 romantic prints depicting the 4 seasons: Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter. All with 6-8 poetic script by unknown poet. Spring: couple in love at a brook fishing. Summer: Farmers family resting and shearing sheep. Autumn: family harvesting flowers / berries. Winter: Family at the fire place watching a bird on the table.
Condition: Excellent given age. General age related toning and occasional light foxing. Small hole in top margin of Spring print. Please study scan carefully.

Medium: Etchings on a verge type paper. Set appears to be printed from 1 plate containing all 4 etchings. Handcoloured with watercolour and gouache.
